Backlighter Data Files

Backlighter data files contain frequency-dependent backlighter intensity data used when specifying a File backlighter type in the Backlighter setup widget.

Backlighter data files are two-column ascii files containing:

• Column 1: Photon energy (eV)
• Column 2: Backlighter intensity (erg/cm²/s/ster/eV)

The backlighter intensity is used to set the radiative transfer back boundary condition (i.e., on the side of the plasma away from the detector).
